Credit Cards For The Unemployed
August 10, 2006
If you were recieving unemployment benefits then it was usually by check. The unemployment offices are now going plastic by offering debit cards now instead of paper checks and now you will get your benefits that much quicker.
Years ago those recieving foodstamps received their own debit cards known as EBT. It still works the same in that you can only purchase uncooked food and not spend it on non-food items so I guess the unemployment cards will have the same kind of thing meaning that any restrictions in place will still be there for the cards.
