The Best Tip in Decreasing Credit Card Debt
December 28, 2009
If you’re like most Americans, then you have some credit card debt. In fact, most of us are making payments on more than one credit card. We’ve always heard that in paying our monthy payment, we should pay more than the minimum payment. In reality, this is true to a certain extent. The easiest way to decrease credit card debt, however, requires that you make the minimum payment on at least some of your credit agreements.
To decrease your debt, focus on one specific debt at a time. For example, instead of sending $100 to Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, send $300 dollars to Visa. Make the minimum payments on the others. When you’ve completely paid off your Visa debt, do the same for the remaining debts. It makes a lot more sense to focus on one debt at at time. If you spread your money over many different companies, then you’ll be paying on your debts for a long, long time.
